This is an archive of the Home Edition of UnionTech Operating System. This operating system has been discontinued (at least for the time being?) to focus on the enterprise/professional edition. As a result, the installer has been removed from UnionTech's website. This archive includes the installation disk as well as instructions on how to activate and upgrade the system. The official methods require connection to UnionTech's servers, so it is likely these methods will go down in the future as well, so this archive also includes alternative methods to active and upgrade the system. Additional packages, like Flatpak 1.16.1 (which allows for running Steam) and a later kernel, are also included in this archive.
Get the installation ISO at the disk below. Flash it to a USB drive or burn it to an optical disk and boot it and run the installer normally
By default, the operating system restricts you from root access. The official method to enable root access is either to link your WeChat account to the system in order to activate it, and then you can click a button in the settings to enable root access and then confirm the dialog. If you do not have a WeChat account, you can also create an account on ChinaUOS.com and go to ChinaUOS.com/developMode. The section in the settings menu to enable root access has an "offline mode" option which will export a JSON file. You upload that to the website and it will give you a KEY file. You can then import the KEY file and it will enable developer mode on your system.
There is an official method to enable root access. Boot from a LiveCD and

Here is the official method of enabling root access.

fdisk -lto list each partition.
The official method of activation requires a WeChat account and scanning a QR code. Each account gets three free activations, but then you must pay 9 yuan for additional activations. Do not worry too much about activating. The only consequence of not having an activated system is the Updates menu in Settings will not work, but you can still update just fine using apt in the terminal.
Sadly, I have been unable to figure out how to active the system unofficially. However, this does not seem to be a problem, as the system still appears to be usable after the trial period ends.
